Five in family found murdered in Sibu

SIBU, Jan 3 — Five members of a family, three of them children, were found murdered here early this morning.

Sibu police chief ACP Shafie Ismail said a 36-year-old timber and shipping businessman, his 80-year-old mother, a 10-year-old daughter and an eight-year-old son were found dead in different locations in their house in RTM Road, according to a Bernama report.

A seven-year-old son of the businessman died at Sibu Hospital after he was admitted there with severe head injuries.

Police believe they were attacked with both blunt and sharp objects by more than one person.
