Guna pistol kutip hutang
17 Rabi'ul Awal 1433H. [MOD] -JOHOR BAHRU – Tindakan ganas seorang lelaki yang mahu mengutip hutangnya dengan mengeluarkan sepucuk pistol akhirnya membawa padah apabila ditahan polis dalam kejadian di Taman Bukit Jaya, Bukit Siput, Segamat, 29 Januari lalu.
Ketua Polis Johor, Datuk Mohd Mokthar Mohd Shariff berkata, suspek berusia 39 tahun dikatakan bertengkar dengan mangsa sebelum mengeluarkan senjata itu dan melepaskan tembakan mengena rumah bersebelahan.
“Suspek ditahan di Plaza Tol Sedenak, Kulaijaya dan hasil pemeriksaan polis menemui sepucuk pistol Semi Auto bersama tiga butir peluru. Dia dipercayai datang ke rumah mangsa untuk mengutip hutang secara mengugut.
"Hasil tindakan pantas polis, dia ditahan dan polis menemui pistol berserta peluru dalam keretanya,” katanya kepada pemberita pada sidang akhbar di Ibupejabat Polis Kontinjen (IPK) Johor, di sini, semalam.
Menurutnya, suspek memiliki dua rekod jenayah iaitu Seksyen 4A(a) Akta Rumah Perjudian Terbuka 1953 dan Akta Dadah Berbahaya di Segamat selain direman sehingga 12 Februari ini.
Mohd Mokhtar berkata, kes disiasat di bawah Seksyen 307 Kanun Keseksaan kerana cubaan membunuh dan boleh dipenjara sehingga 10 tahun jika sabit kesalahan.
“Suspek juga ditahan di bawah Seksyen 8 Akta Senjatapi (penalti lebih berat) dan Seksyen 8(a) akta sama kerana memiliki pistol berkenaan berserta peluru.
“Ini mungkin gaya baru mereka yang melakukan kerja kutip hutang. Bagaimanapun, mereka harus ingat bahawa negara ini ada undang-undang. Jika mahu bebas menggunakan pistol, duduklah di negara lain,” katanya.
