KUCHING: Sebuah pesawat ringan dikesan melakukan pendaratan di Pekan Tatau yang terletak di daerah Bintulu iaitu kira-kira 550 kilometer dari sini.
Pesawat tanpa pemandu berwarna hijau itu dilaporkan melakukan pendaratan cemas di pekan kecil berkenaan akibat cuaca buruk dan hujan lebat.
Begitulah antara gimik bagi memeriahkan kempen Pilihan Raya Negeri (PRN) Sarawak dan kali ini menggunakan replika pesawat.
Hasil kreativiti berwarna hijau putih itu milik calon PAS bagi kerusi Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Kakus, Clement Bayang, 59.
Menurut calon bukan Islam itu, pembinaan replika pesawat berkenaan bertujuan mempromosi PAS di kalangan pengundi dan penduduk setempat.
“Tapi sekarang hujan lebat di kawasan Tatau, kami tak boleh nak letakkan pesawat ini di lokasi yang dikenal pasti. Tunggu lepas hujan baharu pesawat ini sedia dipamerkan untuk tontonan umum.
“Pesawat yang dibina daripada kayu ini dan dibalut dengan kain menggunakan warna rasmi bendera PAS adalah ilham seorang ahli PAS dari Semenanjung,” katanya ketika dihubungi mStar Online di sini, Sabtu.
Clement yang juga Ketua Dewan Himpunan Penyokong PAS (DHPP) Sarawak berhadapan saingan empat penjuru di DUN Kakus.
Beliau menentang penyandang, Datuk John Sikie Tayai daripada Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS), Joshua Jabing @ Jabeng (PKR) dan Anthony Ejau dari Parti Kebangsaan Dayak (DNP).
Mengulas mengenai peluangnya di DUN Kakus, Clement berkata, dia yakin mampu memberi kejutan pada pilihan raya kali ini.
“Saya sangat yakin dapat menewaskan calon BN di Kakus. Datuk John Sikie sudah sangat lama berada di sini. Penduduk Kakus mahukan perubahan bersama PAS,” katanya.
